

An artist in formation and constant transformation that looks upon materials and "artistic" disciplines. Who is entirely committed to ideas; which give her the guidelines for the processes, technics, materials and spaces in which occurs the artistic act.
Her artworks explores a diversity of social aspects as well as a constant introspection of herself, being recurrent four main general subjects. The self-exploration of her psique that mostly are treated with a poetical accent. Sharp visual coments; product of her observations about social behaviors; especially linked with women's oppression, sexism, and any aggression towards the human's body, sometimes putting in question certain taboos and the morality that involves the human's body... These subjects are mostly treated with a humorous vision with a tendency to sarcastic and satirical accents that in part, helps to cope with the charge of the content; sometimes adopting a surreal almost absurd visual forms.
Another recurrent subject in her artworks is the connections between men and his natural environment and the environment itself.
Finally but not less important is the experimentation of the art itself, the willingness to go anywhere in search of new artistic procedures driven by the desire of find a new proposal or perspective in art.
About the name
BernaDeath is a pseudonym, some sort of pun that comes from the name Bernadette, her real given name, and the word Death. Muor is a composition of her surnames; Murillo Oropeza, which sounds akin to Muerte; a word in spanish; her native language, which means Death. Appropriating the word by the meaningful sense, that is to say; the mystical and enigmatic significance behind that word; reflecting a very important part of her personality...
Death is the poetically richest word, is dark but beautiful.
